Il seguente è uno studio congiunto della RAND Corporation e dello Strategic Assesments Group della CIA sul Potere e su come calcolarlo.
Lo studio trae origine da un workshop tenutosi presso la RAND ed è stato sviluppato, per la precisione, dall’ Intelligence Policy Center della National Security Research Division della RAND stessa.

As the famed political scientist Hans Morgenthau wrote, “The concept of political power poses one of the most difficult and controversial problems of political science.”1 This conference examined the attributes of national power and metrics for understanding it. The aim was to push beyond the concept of power as material capabilities and to explore the role of non-state actors, transnational forces, and what some have termed soft power."
