Una buona notizia ogni tanto, e ce la porta proprio l'F35

Pentagon chooses Italy, Turkey for maintenance of F-35 jet, engine.

(Reuters) – The U.S. Defense Department on Thursday said it had chosen Italy to provide initial heavy maintenance of Lockheed Martin Corp's (LMT.N) F-35 fighter jet from 2018, and Turkey to provide heavy maintenance for the jet's engines.

Air Force Lieutenant General Chris Bogdan said the decision followed months of reviews and discussions. He said Britain would provide backup maintenance for the plane's airframe if needed. Norway and the Netherlands would provide additional engine maintenance capability over a phased period, he said.

Test Pilot: The F-35 Can't Dogfight Worth a Damn

Why the new fighter can't hang with the trusty F-16

The F-35 is an impressive disaster. On the one hand, its high-tech helmet is a technological marvel. The F-35B's hovering tricks are awe-inspiring. On the other hand, the Joint Strike Fighter is just out-and-out bad at some really basic fighter jet stuff. A new report from a test pilot really lays it bare: The F-35 can't dogfight.
