    Eh…..

A proposito dell'attuale criticità: "Panic Hits Global Market" (Spiegel).

"In light of the dramatic losses, Gustav Horn, the director of Germany's Institute for Macroeconomics and Economic Research (IMK), said the threat of a new global economic crisis is increasing. "The situation is alarming," he told the financial dailyHandelsblatt, "because panic on the financial markets can quickly lead to a crash in the granting of credit and demand for it." The consequence would be a new global crisis."

"They both govern in the manner of university professors. Ms Merkel prefers the role of mediator to leader, casting herself a moderate among ideological zealots. That’s just the pose Mr Obama struck during the impasse over the debt ceiling (…)  Put together the financial turmoil in Europe, America’s debt burden and the shifting sands of geopolitical influence and you see the problem. The times call for leaders who like to make the political weather. Mr Obama and Ms Merkel appear more comfortable taking seminars than with the bold exercise of power (…) The common denominator here is the absence of any real confidence in the capacity of political leadership to shape the national mood."
